This CDMRP-BCRP/DOD funded training program focuses on breast cancer etiology, specifically the interrelationships between hormones, diet, body size and breast cancer among Hispanic women.

Serum leptin values in Mexican Americans: Association with body fat, body mass index, and obesity” 2004-2006

The major goal of this University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Nutrition Center funded project is to investigate the correlation of serum leptin concentration with body fat content using bioelectrical impedance analysis and the correlation of serum leptin concentration with body fat distribution.
